The Paradoxes

That human beings desire destruction of themselves and of other living things.

That failure in oppressive systems can be a great accomplishment.

That surrendering can be the best path to victory.

That progress requires utopia never be fulfilled – to move forward implies that perfection is out of reach.

That civilization is founded upon the suppression of instinct.

That technology, meant to alleviate the need for unpleasant labor, often creates new spaces and opportunities for just that.

That modern society requires us to engage in pleasures that are miserable, and which divert our attention and undermine our consciousness.

That we feel alone in ourselves, yet by our very composition we are made of a multitude of travelling, nesting and communing organisms.

That we acknowledge the autonomy of others but are trapped in our own subject experience.

That our sense of individual self is entirely contingent on our human and non-human environment.

That there is no human, no non-human, and no nature.

That we know more than we can tell.

That that which would be kept must be given away.
